The First EU-India Smart Grid Workshop announced by the Indian Smart Grid Forum
The India Smart Grid Forum announces in the issue 3 of its Smart Grid bulletin the organization of the first EU-India Smart Grid Workshop in Nice on June 11th & 12th.
This workshop is one of the activities planned in the frame of the EU-India Energy Panel, which is co-chaired by the Government of India and the European Commission. At the last meeting of the Panel in March 2014, both parties agreed on the importance of cooperation on smart grids.
The India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) is a public private partnership initiative of Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India for accelerated development of smart grid technologies in the Indian power sector. ISGF was set up in 2010 to provide a mechanism through which academia, industry, utilities and other stakeholders could participate in the development of Indian smart grid systems and provide relevant inputs to the government’s decision-making.
